Sights Gallo-Roman site in Drevant: This Gallo-Roman site is being completely dug up and testifies to the activities that were already there 2000 years ago. During the summer months the site can be visited for FREE with a guide.

Noirlac Abbey: This model of the art of the Cistercians, built around 1150, is one of the best preserved abbeys in Europe. It radiates the perfection of precepts, a monumental architecture focused on purity and light.

Château d’Ainay-le-Vieil: This historic medieval castle on the “Route Jacques Coeur” was purchased by Charles de Chevenon de Bigny in 1467 and has remained within the same family ever since. Behind the 17th century pavilions is a 7-hectare park, laid out in the 19th century.

Château de Meillant: Here the influence of the Italian Renaissance is explicitly present, as depicted by the 8-angled tower “Le Lion”, the work of Fra Jocondo.

Bourges: The Jacques Coeur Palace is one of the most beautiful buildings testifying to the extravagant gothic architecture of the 15th century. It was built on the orders of Jacques Coeur, the treasurer of King Charles VII, as a residence to receive his guests there. But this city has much more to offer than the Jacques Coeur Palace: a very pleasant center with its medieval streets, its majestic cathedral, its beautiful gardens etc. and of course a few very nice restaurants and pubs.

Culan: beautiful castle and a very pleasant village for walking, with a quiet river in the valley …

Herisson:  medieval Hérisson has around 700 inhabitants and is best known for its ruin right in the center.
